🌡️ Temperature: A practical captive range is about 74–80°F (23–27°C). Maintain stable temperatures without excessive heat, and provide enough substrate and retreat space for the spider to regulate its exposure.
💧 Humidity: Slings benefit from slightly damp substrate without swampy conditions. As juveniles and adults grow, allow the upper substrate to dry between watering while retaining some lower moisture, providing good ventilation and continuous access to clean water.

Babies / Slings: Provide a secure ventilated container filled deeply with diggable substrate. Keep it slightly damp without saturation, include a starter retreat, and leave minimal open height because these active slings readily excavate.
Juveniles: Increase floor space as growth accelerates and retain deep, compactable substrate for burrowing. Provide a cork-bark hide, water dish, good ventilation, and limited vertical clearance to reduce fall risk.
Adults: Provide a large terrestrial enclosure wider than it is tall, with deep substrate, a substantial cork retreat, secure lid, good ventilation, and clean water. Keep fall distance low for these heavy-bodied adults.

Offer appropriately sized crickets and suitable roaches such as Dubia, Red Runner, or Lobster roaches. Small slings can take tiny live prey or portions of pre-killed prey, while fast-growing juveniles and adults readily tackle proportionally larger invertebrates.
Expect a powerful feeding response, but adjust portions and frequency according to life stage and abdomen condition rather than overfeeding. Remove uneaten prey and boluses, and withhold live feeders when a molt appears imminent.
