Grammostola actaeon – Brazilian Wooly Black Tarantula
Meet Grammostola actaeon, the Brazilian Wooly Black — one of the most coveted and seldom-seen members of the Grammostola genus. Hailing from the grasslands and scrublands of Brazil, this slow-growing giant is a true long-term investment for the serious collector. Dense, velvety black setae cover the entire body, giving this species an almost otherworldly, matte-black appearance that sets it apart from every other tarantula in the hobby.
Like all Grammostola, the Brazilian Wooly Black is a docile, deliberate species — a gentle giant that rewards patient keepers with decades of companionship. Its rarity in captivity, combined with its striking appearance and calm temperament, makes it one of the most sought-after New World species on the market.
